Hi guys,
I am looking for a straightforward way to replace the unattractive default top of the page navigation with some graphics that look much more exciting and professional. Are there any mods to do this, or can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many Thanks |

At this point in time there are no MODs to do it all for you. (or there aren't any that I know of...)
Your best bet is to start slowly and make all the changes your self. The Site Integration MOD will probably come in handy. I've seen a lot of people use it when doing what you want, and it should help make life a little easier. |

The main problem that I am having is identifying the code which draws the title image and menu. I am assuming that I can remove this and cut and paste it elsewhere!
Thanks for your help! |

yes you can, just have a backup handy.
If you look in inc_header.asp you'll find some code that writes the main table and a few links. The rest is near the bottom of the page in a sub. Can't remember the name because none of my inc_header's are standard anymore... |

Hey!
That was actually a lot easier than expected! It is always a nightmare searching trhough someone elses code, but this was quite easy. I will probably turn this into a mod when I have finished playing around with my graphics..
Thanks for your help, and confidence!

That was rather fast.
Glad you got it working the way you want. |

I don;t like to hang around... I had already been playing a bit...
One thing I can't seem to find is I appear to have a few pixel gap around the edge of my site. Any idea how to remove this?
Thanks |

How to Modify the Header has always been my interest too. I was hoping to see more from this thread. . .can you explain what you found? . . . |

Hey AnonJr,
No link yet I am affraid as the version of the site that I am working on is on my desktop and notyet live. Here are a couple of screen shots though:
http://www.thewetpatch.com/wp1.jpg http://www.thewetpatch.com/wp2.jpg
And I am not sure where to get rid of the padding around the edge so that the site sits tightly in the browser. (I know there are images missing and it doesnt look very nice yet, but so far have only been working on getting it to function the way I want. the next steps are to make it look nice!)
Panhandler - Is this the kind of direction that you wish to head in? I am happy to put together a Mod which converts a normal forum into this style if it helps?
Many thanks,
Chris

acech Yes, that's the direction I and probably many others want to go. A mod would be super - depending on how you structure it - it would at least give me a chance to learn "how to" make the needed changes.
I've already used the Site Integration mod and found it extremely useful. (link to my site send via private email) . . . |

Ok Panhander, I will probably write more of a howto in the next few days, as soon as I have finished my mod!
Chris
Incidentally I fixed the border issue by adding margin sizes to the style sheet.
