Burning Souls Forum has reached a 5 year milestone running under Snitz Forums (well the first 3 months was actually running the ASP-Dev forum ).

Just wanted to thank those of you that have assisted/guided me during this time period. I am quite proud of the accomplishments as well as the community that come of it. Not only has it increased my programming/database skills, but it has built personal relationships with many, many people I consider very close friends at my forum as well as at Snitz.

Here's wishing for another 5 years.... or more!

Congratulations!!!!!!! 5 years is indeed a milestone in the everchanging landscape of the internet!!! Compared to non-internet life, one could say that BSF is of the same age as Stone Henge.

Yea, let me add my congratulations to the others...
I had experience with the ASP-Dev forum too, and your post brings back memories.

Snitz and many of us have come a long way since those days!

I wish you continued success.

Thanks everyone. I received a really big surprise the other day when my wife excitedly informed me that there was a package waiting for me upon my return from work that day. I didn't remember ordering anything and she wouldn't give me anymore details so when I came home I saw a box and it was sent from an online friend and forum moderator in Ohio. I opened the box only to find that there was a Mvix Multimedia Player along with a 300GB drive. A letter attached included excerpts from fellow community members thanking me for the work I have done. My old school community members all chipped in a purchased this very nice gift to me. I can't tell you how surprised and elated I was, almost shed a tear ... emphasis on almost! This gift is a pretty snazzy little device which is only 7.5 inches tall includes a very powerful FM transmitter and many features for playing all types of audio, video and photos/images.

quote:
Dayve,

We hope you enjoy the gift. It is from all of us (mostly). It is only a small token for every thing you have ever done for us at Burning Souls Forum. I hope this helps you realize how truly appreciative and grateful we are of you and all that you done and continue to do for us. You have poured your life into Burning Souls Forum to make it one of the best forums any of us have seen. You have shown unmatched dedication towards creating a community that we have all come to love, respect, and enjoy but most of all, a place where we can call Home. None of this could have happened without you. We can’t thank you enough for every thing you have done these past 5 years.

Over the past 5 years we have seen our little community change. Partly due to the evolution of the band that brought us together in the first place, Nine Inch Nails, partly due to the members. We have watched Nine Inch Nails change. We have watched as members come and go (for better or for worse). We have watched the forum change, as you create new and better features. We have watch as our long term members grow up and change. We have watch and lived our lives on Burning Souls Forum. For many of us, you and the community have impacted our lives in one form or another. It has brought many of us together that wouldn’t have found each other otherwise. Burning Souls Forum is a part of us. We have you to thank. We hope that Burning Souls Forum and the community can live on for another 5 years.

You have given so much to us so now it is our turn to give back to you. Thank you Dayve. Thank you for every thing you have done to make Burning Souls Forum the best Nine Inch Nails community ever. It is a tribute to who you are. Thank you.

~ The Members of Burning Souls Forum
