All my forums (vers. 3.4.03 I don't have this possibility. Where can I change it to this?

The "All Forums" option on search.asp is built in by default.
Are you using a modded forum?
Can you post a link to it?

I've taken a look at your search page at http://www.tinemuller.dk/testsnitz/search.asp - the option "Forfatter" does search all forums (don't know what the word means though )...

Forfatter = I think "wii" has translated it from "Member"

You can see the difference here http://www.tinemuller.dk/TESTsnitz/div/search_forum.html

Maybe we could get "wii" to help?

Well, all I can say is that when the option "Forfatter" is selected, all forums will be searched.
Drop wii an email, I'm sure he's willing to respond.

I have uploaded a report with the differences http://www.tinemuller.dk/TESTsnitz/div/Report.html because I saved an english version several years ago but it's the same version.

I don't know enough asp to figure out what went wrong.:-(

Yes, the only differences are the translated strings.

As far as I can tell, the functionality is there.
If you would like to change the word "Forfatter" to something different, you'll have to change that in the language file.

Do a search for "upload" for example and you'll get search results from more than one forum.

Tine,

Something is not right in your version of search.asp - forfatter means member, but it should not show up there in search.asp - have you edited any of the files yourself? All Forums should be Alle Fora in danish - not sure why it shows Forfatter in yours.

No I haven't changed anything and I remember that I also saw "Forfatter" in the forum you made for the danish code but at that time I didn't make any question about this.

I don't think the problem is with the languagefile which I have uploaded here Lang1030.asp.txt because when I searched in Dreamweaver MX 2004 after "All Forums" I don't get any "Forfatter" so I think it's in the search.asp file http://www.tinemuller.dk/testsnitz/search.asp.txt that the problem is but I don't know how a translation file is made so I can't figure out what to change, sorry.:-(

The variable strLangSearch00060 contains the value "Forfatter", change that in your language file.

When I search for strLangSearch00060 in Lang1030.asp I find this
strLangSearch00060 = "Forfatter" '"Author"

and when I search for strLangSearch00060 in search.asp I find this

<td align=""center"" bgcolor=""" & strHeadCellColor & """><b><font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strFooterFontSize & """ color=""" & strHeadFontColor & """>" & fLang(strLangSearch00060) & "</font></b></td>" & vbNewLine & _

and

<td bgColor=""" & strPopUpTableColor & """ align=""left"" valign=""middle"">" & vbNewLine & _
" <select name=""Forum"" size=""1"">" & vbNewLine & _
" <option value=""0"">" & fLang(strLangSearch00060) & "</option>" & vbNewLine

Oh, I just noticed what's wrong.
Replace the line
" <option value=""0"">" & fLang(strLangSearch00060) & "</option>" & vbNewLine

with
" <option value=""0"">" & fLang(strLangSearch00360) & "</option>" & vbNewLine

Looks like a typo or something like that.
Make sure the strLangSearch00360 variable is defined in your language file.

Fantastic. What a lot of work. Thanks a lot now it's functioning. Now I just have to change this in all my Snitz forums translated to danish. I hope this can be of help to a lot of other people who have this problem too.:-)
