I set up a forum for a client some time ago, and they wanted it to be members only. So I remember choosing a setting which allowed this. Now they want it to be totally open. So, I'd like people to have to register, but for them to have instant access. Of course I cannot find the settings to make this happen. Can someone help?
Admin Options-> Email Server Configuration-> Restrict Registration. Set it to Off. Email Validation can remain On or Off, depending on whether you want the email addresses validated or not.
When you set Restrict Registration to Off in Admin Section > E-mail Server Configuration new registered users no longer need to be approved by an administrator to be able to access the forum.
