I installed the program...then I made up my account. Then I logged in and I got no admin options. I then deleted my acount in Access, re-entered it with a new id #, then I changed the id in the config file and still nothing. Does that help? |

Are you able to log in? What happens when you type in the URL for the admin options manually? |

I'm getting a similar error. I just installed Snitz onto a site of mine using a MySQL Database... and while the installation and set up all went well, I'm finding that I can't log in at all. I get a page stating that the log in was successful, but then the very next page has me logged out, even if I click "save my password"... I tried logging in using my Admin username and password, and even registered a test username and password. They both seem to log in fine at first, but I can not post or make any changes following logging in. I can type in the direct url to admin home in the address bar and gain access to admin options that way, however. |

Thank you for the suggestion... I've already tried clearing cookies to no avail. This "error" is happening not only on my computer, but on my husbands, as well. I'm new to the whole servers/databases thing, so could you explain to me a little more clearly on what you mean by "check server and computer time" ... Sorry. |

I am also having this issue. It's too bad Spotted1 didn't post his solution here for others. I searched the forums but haven't been able to find anything about this. Has anyone found a solution? After I set it up and logged in there is no link for "Admin Options". |

One thing that bit me over the weekend--make sure you have the right member account number. Everything I had suggested I was member number 2. Changing the config file did not give me super admin status. I changed the SA account in the config file up one number at a time until the super admin options showed up for my account. I discovered that I was actually member number 8. I have no idea why, but it works now. Don't know if this will work for anyone else but thought I'd toss it in.

I am having the same problem. I have just installed the forum and got the database to work. When I registered for the first time as Administratror and put in the password, I do not get the link Admin Options under the log out link. What it is I must do to set up the admin option link to work?? I am using a MS webhost and so I do not know what server they are using. I would assume Win 2003. I am using Access 2000 for database. I have cleared out the member table database and see if that could solve the problem. It didn't I cleared out the cookies in both browser Mozilla and IE and closed both applications. Still has no effect. Please help. This is my first time I ever use a forum so please bear with me. Much thanks in advance! |
