Ok, my wife has been into this doll thing for a while now creating doll sculptures.

At first, I wasn't sure what to think. As time went on, she got better and better and her work begin to captivate me. Now, it's just blowing me away!

Anyway, I just wanted to share with you all one of her pieces she recently did because I think it is just way too cool and you might get a kick out of it since it is just clay.

This piece she is calling "Buryoku" which means "Might". It stands just about 8 inches high (without its base). It has bat wings (yep! they look like the real deal and are bendable!) and also a horse's tail. Lastly, it has a removeable sheild and a removable helmet!

She sculpted "Buryoku" from scratch and even painted it herself!

Anyway, click on either the picture or the link below, and let me know what you all think.

Cheers,

I think she has a really good handle on what parts go where!

Etymon, you must be very proud, I could see this turning into a revenue stream here - making copies for sale and exhibiting the originals...goth shops and D&D shops would be interested, I'm sure, for starters!

Yeah, they'd go down a storm in Camden Town.

Well, my wife wants to stay with the One Of A Kind (OOAK) theme for now, which means that she doesn't want to make a mold of the figurine. Later on, when we get the finances up for the equipment, we want to go the mold route.

Thanks for all the kind words about her work. She smiled greatly when she read your posts.

Anyway, she did post the piece up for auction on eBay yesterday.

Here is the link: Buryoku "Mighty Wings"

Thanks again for all of your encouragement!

I think I'll make her part of my signature for a little while!

Cheers,

Etymon
