Does anyone have the code to change the FAQ admin to work with an Access Database forum?

I tried it and it errors on the strSQL commands.

Thanks

The F.A.Q. Administration MOD works with Access databases, the F.A.Q.s here are from a forum using Access.

Can you post the errors you're getting?
Which version of the F.A.Q. MOD and Snitz are you using?

My MODs:
Birthdays - Custom Policy - F.A.Q. Administration - Forum Rules - Guestbook
Links Manager - MyOwnGoogle - Profile Views - Search Log - WebSearch

Useful stuff:
Forum and MOD Installation - MOD Installation Guide - Snitz v3.4.05 Readme - Free ASP Hosts - Support Snitz

If you click on the FAQ link itself you get a similar error on line 82.

Line 82:
Set rsFaq = my_conn.Execute(strSql2)

It would be easier to help you if you could provide a url, guest or test account, and a link to a text version of admin_faq.asp.

Is the error in your lasp post in the same file? if not, please provide link to text version of that file as well.

cheers

When I click on faqs I don't get any of the errors you mention. I get a properly formatted page with "no categories found" in the FAQ TOC.

As I asked earlier, please post a link to a text version of faq.asp and admin_faq.asp

Make sure you're using the latest version of this MOD (v1.1), available at
http://www.onewaymule.org/onewayscripts/mods/faq/

Make sure the database setup worked correctly.

I will download that one and give it a try.

The one I'm using is from SnitzBlitz.

Does the same thing. When I ran the dbs update to add the default categories I got the following error:
-2147217900 | The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown field name: 'F_FAQ_ORDER'. Make sure you have typed the name correctly, and try the operation again.

I used the FAQ uninstall dbs file and readded the tables into the database and it works fine now!!

I don't know if it was related to the dbs update from the SnitzBlitz file or if it failed the first time and I did not notice it. I REALLY appreciate the help!

This forum is terrific.
