 Private Messages Missing		  New Topic  Topic Locked

Hi,

My site host had a problem over the weekend and the site was down, reporting database access problems. They've now recovered but the private messages link is now missing from the header.

I'm sure that before that crash, there was a link to private messages from the links above the "logout" button. This is no longer available.

All the Private Messages functions are working correctly as you can get to them from lower down the default.asp page.

Am I missing something???

Running version 3.4.05 - Private Message mod added about 3 months ago.

I would suggest that you download the files mentioned in the Private Messages mod and see if the changes are present.

If they are not, your host must have restored a backup from months ago.

Thanks Podge,

I thought that, but code I added a day before is there. Am I right in looking at inc_header.asp?

If so, not being a programmer myself, in this forum, where is the code located that shows the links in the top right hand corner that shows home|profile|register etc?

Yes, it should be in inc_header.asp - look for the sub at the end of the file called sub sForumNavigation() (around line 432 depending on what changes have been made).

You can download the instructions for your version of Snitz here - http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=62
It should tell you how to make the changes to inc_header.asp again. You should really check the other files also just in case.

You may have made a change a day ago which affected the PM mod. What change did you make yesterday?

Did as you said. All other files had the correct code apart from inc.header.asp

Modified as it should be and all works fine now. Thanks for your help
