I was reading Entrepreneur magazine online and noticed that they had these odd double underlined ads in the articles.
Has anyone ever used them?

Never used them but seen them popping up on more and more sites recently too, annoying the hell out of me - just find them far too invasive and distracting from the page content.

Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Signed up with them ages ago but as it looks like spyware to the average user I was never quite sure whether to implement it or not. Could end up doing more harm than good. |

I'm not thinking of implementing it, but using it as an advertiser.
I was just wondering what people's reaction was. I think they're kind of annoying too, but more importantly, it kind of feels like some kind of scam ad to me because of the non-standard nature of the link. |

Please don't use this - I hate it and firefox adblock doesn't strip them out...so I end up surfing elsewhere...! |

Try Google Adwords, its far better. Its also contextual and not anywhere near annoying. Don't spend more than 5c per click & choose lots of relevant keywords.
I am planning to use adwords, but I'm always looking for worthwhile alternatives too.
Has anyone noticed that adwords ads are getting more expensive?
On the plus side, I'm also making more in adsense ad too, but still... |

I just got an offer from a company that wants to run something very similar to this on my website. I'm wondering what the heck I should do. I think it would be kind of annoying myself, but $ talks. I guess I will ask them what kind of length in time we are talking here and how the payment model is based. |

It is a different company. They call it "content integration". They are running a campaign for Polaris Industries ( http://www.polarisind.com ). I think I'm going to have to tell them "no" though, as I've been thinking about it and it would be just too annoying and not broad enough yet. |
