I am having problems with my admin email not working.
Other members can recieve notification from their subscribed posts. They can also email each other.
However, no one can email me and I can't receive notifications to my subscribed posts.
Does it have anything to do with that the subcription emails are coming from myself since I am the administrator?
This isn't my actual email below but I will represent it as follows:
my server email is mail.xyz.org my email address is leatherlips@xyz.org
All emails sent to members of the forum stem from my email since it is the admins address.
Since I am the admin and it is sending it to the same email address, is this the problem?
I'm confused.

Have you ever received emails addressed to that email address? Do users who send emails have those emails returned? I think the issue is certainly wih your mail server and not the forum code, as it makes no distinction between users, as I told you before. I would check with your email server admin. |

The problem was with Snitz as I could recreate it at will.
Everything seems to be working OK now (fingers crossed).
For future reference, I'll explain my situation and how I solved it.
Problem:
I must have done something wrong when I first set up the forum administrators email address. It appeared correctly in the Email Server Configuration but was wrong in the Profile. In the Profile it said, yourname@server.com, which was wrong. That is just the default generic email Snitz used. When I changed it in the Profile it needed to be authenticated but of course I could not do that since I don't have access to yourname@server.com.
This caused my emails from the forum to never get to me. It also seemed to stop any other email from getting to me as it blocked them up somehow. If I checked it with my Outlook Express, it would not come through. If I checked it on the web with Internet Explorer, I could not get through.
However, if I checked it with FireFox on the web, I could get through and see the email. If I deleted it while on FireFox, then I could once again check my normal emails with Outlook Express and Internet Explorer. (This step could be recreated over and over again).
How I solved it:
Knowing now that I could check my webmail with FireFox, I changed my admin profile email to something else. I authenticated it by clicking the link in my email. I then went back and and changed it to the original email address. I had to go back to using FireFox to authenticate it.
Now it seems to be working as it should.
If any of this did not make sense let me know. I'll try to explain it better for future reference. |

That's not a Snitz issue. Even if you did not notice that your profile email address was wrong, it was wrong. Once you have email authentication on, to change your email without validation, you just turn email validation off, change the email address and then turn it on. |
