So a guy at my hosting company helped me get my Access db converted to a SQL db, and at the same time I moved the forum to a new domain. The forum is coming up at the new URL, and looks ok, except none of the admin functions seem to be working - I get error messages when I try to click on the Admin Options link, Members link, try to unlock all the forums, etc.
I am not sure where to ever start troubleshooting this - anyone else run into this before?
Thanks!!
***Update - now that I look closer, only the front page is appearing - anything you click on gives you an error...ugh**** |

For some reason the rest of your files are looking for inc_sha256.asp in a directory called newforum which doesn't exist.

ahhhh...that is where it was on the old site...how did you see that?
so you think if I get rid of all references to newforum that should be good? that might take a few minutes huh? haha
Thanks!! |

It was in the error message. Ay, if all your inludes are pointing to newforum, it's going to take a while. Alternatively, you could just create a directory called new forum on the new server and move the relevant files into it.

If you can install another browser such as Firefox, you can use it to view the full error messages. Of course, if you can't even change the settings of IE on your machine, I doubt you're going to be able to do that. You should ask wjoever is responsible to turn off friendly HTTP error messages for you as it is essential to the debugging process and will enable you to work faster.
