Our forum www.jurisdictionary.com/forum/default.asp is running far too slowly. When one posts a message the screen hangs for minutes! Not seconds. Minutes! We have version 3.4.03 The rest of our site is working fabulously, but posting to the forum is a disappointment. PLEASE ADVISE what we can do to speed things up to normal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Frederick

Do you have subscriptions enabled? What database are you using?

We're using access and the file is now 13 MB.
I don't know what "enable subscriptions" means.
Will it help to update?
What files must I keep of the old to update?
Scares me to think I might lose what we've developed over the past 2 years.

13Mb is nothing to worry about.

Subscriptions is when you can receive an email every time someone posts on that thread. Maybe not you, but if you can login as admin check the "all subscriptions" you will get an idea how much this feature is being used. If the feature is OFF then you won't see that link.

Please post the details for a test account, so that we can try it without having to register.

I don't get anything over 0.3, and most are under 0.1 .... seems nice & fast to me, could just be the server having problems for a while.
