I am sorry for reopning this topic. I am in phase of moving to PHPbb forums (lloks good visually).

I found a beautiful MOD (Although I still have to try it). You can all see it from http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?sid=&f=17&t=20151

This do the automatic installation of MOD's. Is this the one we are talking about. As PHPBB is written in PHP so source code is available.

Wish you all best of luck.

BTW you can see my forums at

http://enoise.net (Snitz Forums)
http://enoise.net/forums (PHPbb Forums)

I got all of my forum posts/members by using one of the convertor by them. Only thing left is the passwords of members which are encrypted in Snitz. If any body know how to decrypt (I know that it is one way encryption) the passwords then I can move the forums transparently.

As I am leaving you people might not help me but "Hope is still there"

Have I misunderstood one way encryption? I thought it was impossible to decrypt.

Indeed, one way is one way. They cannot be decrypted.

What you could do is write a script taht will run through every member in the database, generate a random password for them and shoot them off an e-mail with their new login details.

Search is your friend
