Is there any mod for removing topics automatically? For example: "Remove all topics with no new posts since xxxxxx"
I'd really want such a mod. |

You can archive them and then delete all archived posts.

| different thing but same vein ... does the archive function work on the date a topic was started or the date of the last post in that topic?? |

The date of the last post in that topic. So, for example, archiving topics older than three months would archive a 4 month old topic that's had no replies but not a year old topic that's had a reply today.

| thanks shaggy, I can archive some posts now then, I wasn't sure because i have some old topics that get used everyday, didn't want to archive them but you've cleared that up for me. |

You're welcome Remember, if in doubt, take a back up of your database and give it a try; if it doesn't do what you expected/wanted, just restore the backup and you're laughing.
