@HuwR ; exactly what Panhandler said No need for a notebook/flybook for me...(it does look silly, holding a big 'schedule-book'-like screen to your ear btw ....)
@Tribaliztic ; well, what's holding you ? They come bundled with lots of providers (O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile...I don't know which one's available in Sweden though). |

It may well do, but I only use my phone for data connections, I don't actually speak to anyone on it, just try connecting to a server using remote desktop on your phone and you will soon get p****d off with it |

You do have to love mobile technology though, just the other day as I was rebooting a server in Texas via terminal services whilst stuck in a lift in New Zealand via my PDA I was thinking hey this is kinda kewl ! |

which shows that pentium-M's should be in desktops not notebooks really since they perform better |

That is pretty impressive, from the stuff I have seen they only realy do badly on very graphic or memory intensive activities, but perform very well as general office type stuff. I may try one out as a webserver, you can get mini-itx MB's which take pentium-M processors, and should perform pretty well.
My Flybook finally arrived , it is even smaller than I imagined, just slightly bigger than a plastic DVD case (the ones you get films and games in), must rush off and play |

I have an Aspire 1804WSMi: P4 3.2GHz, 800MHz FSB 1.5G DDR Ram 100GB HDD, DVD-SuperMulti R/W Drive 17" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite TFT display ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 with 128MB of external DDR (PCI Express) Gigabit Lan, WiFi, Bluetooth Even has a built in remote control that slides in to a PCI slot.
Battery life sucks at about 40mins but it's always plugged in.
It's also connected to my new 8MB broadband that should be activated today (come on bulldog!) |

Tháts why the Pentium M is so interesting...115 watt vs 27 watt...at nearly the same performance |

I tried one of those, I found it just a little bit too fiddly and doesn't it doesn't take my sim card, which for me is a huge bonus, I use GPRS quite a lot for email/terminal services, plus the larger drive, more ram and the bigger screen suits me better for what I need. |
