Im new to SnitzForums, and I wonder is there
1.an option to allow unregistered users to post messages?
2.Is it possible to make user titles depending on their post count?(custom titles too)
3.Can I configure layout of the board to look like this: http://pub45.ezboard.com/frijekafrm1 (my current board)
4. Can I make some of my members moderators?
5. Is there something like announcments on the top with the important news?
Im planing to install this script so I need to know this... Thx in advance!

No, but you could could create a guest user and let them use that

You can have custom titles and post count related user titles.

It won't look 100% the same, and you'll need a MOD for the icons in front of the messages.

yes

There is a MOD for that, it isn't included in the base-forum.

There are a couple of downloads here with a lot of MODS included in them. That might be a starting point. See i.e. http://forum.snitz.com/forum/link.asp?TOPIC_ID=4296 and .... (hmm can't find Richards download) You could also check out http://www.forumco.com/ They provide you with a forum without the need to install it on your own site, in case you can't run ASP (active server pages).

MOD stands for Modification
It are Add-ons to the baseline code of the forum. See the forums in the "Snitz Forums 2000 MOD-Group" i.e. the MOD Add-On Forum (W/Code) you find on this site or the Archive

It will work on any server that is capable of executing ASP files. For it to run on Unix, you will need an additional software to parse the ASP files. ChilliSoft is what you will need to buy to make ASP work on your Unix server. If you are not using your own server, ask your server admin if they have ASP capabilities or if they have ChiliSoft installed. If not, there are a few free asp hosting providers you can install your forum on. Just check the Forum Hosting forum. |

Ok. I think my Unix based server supports ASP.Anyway, thx on info!(once again) The more I'm looking at this forum, the more I like it...There are only two forums from which I will choose one, and it is most likely it's gonna be Snitz.:)
