Well my truck will wake anyone in a ten mile radius so I guess I understand that because I LOVE loud vehicles. But the cars that are specially designed to kill on impact I don't get at all.... Must be a media thing over there or something huh ??

This is wonderfully incoherent rambling :)

Oh, and the whole Boston thing, well if we'd just dumped you you'd have moaned on and on, so we had to let you think you'd 'won independence' instead of fostering an 'unwanted child complex'. See, that's how much we love you guys, we care about your whole country's feelings

Just to show we still love you American folks despite it all, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

On a slightly more serious note - what is Thankgiving actually giving thanks for? It's not a holiday we have here, and I understand its on different dates for USA and Canada? In fact, does anywhere else have a Thanksgiving hoiday?

edited for tag correction!

It's pronounced "rooter" here in Austria, at least I haven't heard anyone pronounce it in a different way...

Jezmeister: It's not practical I was just using that as an example of me understanding your point.

pdrg: Thanksgiving has something to do with people landing on Plymouth Rock and having a bit of a party before they came in great numbers with their "boom sticks" to take the land away from the Indians and other tribes. So I guess it would be the celebration before the war.

Personally I would be much happier if all those boats sank before they ever got here.

Also your interpretation of the party in Boston is most amusing.

Well which cars do you want to talk about ?? I was talking about the car I drag race not the car I drive every day. That car is not loud at all, very practical, and very useful. It gets about 30mpg in the city and close to 42 on the highway. The car was designed, built, maintained, and resides in America. I honestly think your question about American cars being practical and your statement about American cars being designed to kill on impact is rooted firmly in ignorance and brainwashing brought to you by your own government. American cars give the consumer the option of buying what they desire. Not what the government allows them to sell, or you to buy.

*fumes*

well i found it funny... nyway, a real test of how practical it is, try testing the feat Jeremy Clarkson managed in the new land rover, get one of your useless american cars up a mountain (with no road up before you try cheating lol) and maybe I'll concede that they could be practical.
And anyway who wants an american car that can do 42miles to the gallon when you can get an italian car that can accelerate 5 times quicker, has a top speed twice as high and handles corners at 220mph exactly as it does at 20mph but only does 20 to the gallon?
oi and europeans, wheres my backup here? lol
