Thanks Laser! Well, I m not all the way back yet, still facing vascular sugery.
But anyway, back to my mailing problem: I registered with an email address on another server, and the validation notice did not come in, just like before. Which explains the 80 pending memberships. Poor guys, must think I'm a slob and an idiot. |

I approved a couple of accounts, and I received the new member reports. When I email a member it opens up my local mail client for sending, so that does not tell us anything. But I know that the validation keys are not being sent out. I have 5 pages of pending members now. |

That sounds like e-mail is not enabled on your forum, did it get turned off some how? When e-mail is not enabled, clicking on the e-mail link for a user will open in your mail client instead of a web form. |

I see. I do get *some* reports from the forum though, just not the all-important new member applications. |

Reports like new postings, or game results do go out. But the new account validation link does not get sent, which is why we have 84 "pending memberships". |

The form page contains:
quote: <FORM NAME="GAME RESULT REPORT" method="post" action="GAME_RESULT_HANDLER.asp">
and the action page does:
quote: '### mail to opponents and HQ ###################################### strRecipients = "battlegroup@ggholiday.com; " strsubject = "Game Result Report" strMessage = strMessage & "This game has been reported to HQ and will be recorded." & vbNewline
etc...
And the "new post" notifications are handled by the original script. |

No, I haven't. Should I? I thought since some mail gets sent it must be my fault for the others. |

When only emails sent to your own domain get through, that usually means there is a relaying issue with your email server. So I think you should talk to your host. |
