But I don't know what to do with this advice.

In the email configuration section of the Admin Options, in the text box where you specify the mail server, use 'localhost' and see if it fixes it. Otherwise you can change your email component to cdosys and specify the authentication info required by the server.

But there is no "localhost" option!

I'm not talking about the email component Alfred. Keep your existing email component and specify localhost as your email server.

I see - where it says "email server address".
I had "mail.ggholiday.com" there, and replaced it now with "localhost".
And kept CDOSYS in the other line.
Should this be ok now?

I guess so, if your host's suggestion was correct.

Then you will need to use CDOSYS as the email component, and then add the authentication issue, according to the info you said you received from your host.

This post has the info on how to specify the authentication info for CDOSYS (username and password).

Did you try it? Try it, including Podge's advice.

Well, commenting out those two lines did the trick for me, although it didn't do it for the other poster in that thread. Guess I was lucky!
That code is pretty patched by now, and I sure hope it'll hold up, because I would have no idea where to begin fixing it.

Thanks for the pointers!
