I just set up the forum (latest version) on my site. It's at http://www.cornbreadshow.com/forum. I've opened it on my laptop at home and two different computers here at work, and it's been very fast. But I just had some friends join in and click around to help me troubleshoot, and they're all in different locations on different providers (none on dial-up, though), and say it's working very very slowly. In fact, one said it took her 5 minutes to post.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for checking for me. I haven't had any speed problems, either. I wonder if it matters that they're all in the same city.

If it's localised then it's probably just a bit of packet loss or latency on the route they're taking to the server. Will most likely just clear up as mysteriously as it started. Getting them to tracert to the server might show where the slowdown is.

They are all on different ISPs, or most of them are... does that make any difference?

Also... They're not having this speed problem on another board (not Snitz-related) which is where they're posting their speed troubles.

Additional info: They are having no trouble with the speed of my site, outside the forum. I don't know how this can possibly be on my end, since anyone outside of Wichita, KS seems to have no problems, but they can get on any other site with no problem.

OK. Thanks to everyone who looked at it for me. I just don't know what to tell the Wichita members.
