I downloaded snitz forums version:

sf2k_v34_05

It is in a zipped folder, the read me says unzip the file.
I clicked on extract all and it still shows a folder with a zip on it in my c:/ folder.

The web site I want the forum on is new and blank

www.ftrmx.com

What is the first step I take from here???

You need to unzip the zip file to a folder on your computer. Then follow the instructions in the readme file.

Extract/unzip mean the same thing zip-wise... just unzip it to somewhere on your computer - so long as you can access it it really doesnt matter where.

Hopeful, it might help you if you created a folder called "Forum" and extracted the files to that folder. Extracting them to your C: drive will just be confusing to you. Once it's done, find the "Forum" folder and you'll see the files that were extracted.
