To make this a truly useful mod, you'll want to add another field on the replies table which relates what the new reply is relpying to (ie like a threaded view) so you could prune off a whole branch of a thread instead of having to choose which posts to prune.

Just my .02.

I would think that changing the topic id for each reply would be enough. And then sort it by the posted date.

What I do need though, is an icon for the Split Thread feature. Someone can come up with an icon for me?

What do you mean icon.... like an administrative icon saying "split this thread"... or something? if thats the case I can come up with something in no time.
