The title says it all.

I was suprised to see this today, there are not many left of the good free forum scripts anymore, as I see it right now these are left:

I don't know much about IPB, but isn't it just PHP, nothing compiled? How can they force you to pay for that if you can just modify the code. Or would that be illegal, and it's the honer system to prevent that?

I imagine it's difficult to justify the time and commitment involved in developing a forum.

I think the ASP.net Chatterbox forums is gone now.

Nathan seems to be plugging away with his Coreboard. I think he's up to Beta 3 now. http://www.coreboard.net

School is holding me back right now, but beta 4 is on its way. (With a new look and feel)

Beta 3 is quite stable right now though. There is a time complexity issue with FML parsing, I think thats the biggest issue currently.
