Hi all, some of the forms I'm working on have "& currency" (without the space) as one word. When I post the topic that is automatically converted to "¤cy"
I thought it was something wrong with my setup but as you can see the same thing happens here.
Is there any way of fixing this?

As a temporary fix, do the following:

&currency

(Hit reply with quote to see the code.)

I have seen this on my forum as well. It is so annoying when you want to send a user to a particular reply in a topic.

Is there any other way of doing this rather than the way you show Nikkol with the & (forum code) in between?

Cheers,

David Greening

I agree David, BTW I checked the inc_func_common and inc_func_posting but found nothing. No reference in there or clue as to what is changing the text over.
Hopefully someone has a suggestion

I just tried it on my forum then, and it worked fine. It was strange that everytime I included a link back to a reply in a topic it would put the ¤ symbol in place of the "&" and would stop it from linking correctly. I have done a test here: 2004 Australian Historic Championships (nothing to do with the topic, just a test) and it would not link correctly.

Must of been one of those things on the day. Thanks for taking the time to look at it Nikkol.

Cheers,

David Greening

Well, it's not a feature of the bad word filter and it's apparently caused by the & linked with only the first six letters. If you type &curre it displays correctly and anything after the n will also display correctly. Maybe there's something in the code which looks for the word "current" (as in image, etc)?
