Does anyone have a smart/sneaky way to display a shockwave object using the <img> tag? or use the image tag to run a script which would then correctly imbed the .swf object?

Basically I'm just trying to circumvent making changes to a product for a customer (CandyPress actually) who wants to display an .swf file instead of a static gif/img .. I could change the base code to do this but then when he decides he doesn't want the .swf file again I'll have to go and uncode it all :) ... just trying to save myself a little hassle really.

I doubt it, but as long as you're using VSS or some other config mgmt software the rollback should be as simple as pinning? I hate this, having to do work you just know in your gut will be dumped later - we are tought to hate wasted effort (code duplication, etc), so work duplication just gnaws at your heart...
