I know someone posted a link to his/her site on these forums some time in the past, but after doing some searches, I haven't been able to find it anymore. Perhaps you know which site I'm looking for, or maybe you can offer good alternatives.
The site I'm looking for is one that had Photoshop tutorials, tips and tricks on it. I'm not really looking for sites that tell you the "how to wow your friends" stuff like how to create bevelled text, or how to make a fake product box, just one that can show real-life examples of how things work in photoshop, like advanced masking, fixing bad images (color corrections that don't end up psychadellic lol).
I already have a 900-page book, which will help once it gets done with the color setup and bitmap vs. vector info (great stuff to read if you can't get to sleep), but I'd still like to visit some sites to get more info. |

Looks to me like they're still using Snitz: http://www.savva.com.au/forums/savva/forum/
Unfortunately, even though I'm getting eager to learn more about photoshop, I'm not willing to spend yet another $25 to $195 to see how they do those things (pricing for access to their tutorials).
Anyone know of any good free-access tutorial sites? Google throws so many at me, I'm going to go nuts looking through all the poo before I'll find a site that actually covers the important stuff. |

I didn't like the way Adobe set up the studio part of the site (nor the forums for that matter). |
