Sorry guys. Just got back electricity and water today after 1 week.
Not much damage to my home except some part of my roof went flying. Which made water come into my living room and soaked the sofa's. But I have dried them and everything is ok. Cleaned up the rooms from all the water and everything is coming back to normal.
But unfortunately, other persons in the rest of the island aren't doing as well as I am. A lot of persons don't have water and electricity. Electricity we can do without but water is really important. Some communities are still cut off from the rest of the island due to land slides. Food and water has been air lifted to them. But it is really dangerous to clear a path to them as the path is dangerous for tractors and heavy machinery to work there.
But water is the main problem. You wouldn't know the things some persons will do to get water here.
I am glad and thankful though that we didn't get hit by the eye. Otherwise, things would have been worse. Thanks guys for your kind words of support. I appreciate it.
