I updated my email address in my profile here with my GMail address. I have not received the activation email. It has been about 5 hours now. Is anyone using their GMail account here at Snitz? Have you had any problems receiving email from the forum? |

Don't know, but you could also try checking the Spam box, just in case it might have ended up there. But highly unlikely.
Maybe Huwr could look into it. |

It was in the SPAM box. I never think of looking there since the box is never bold like the others when you have unread mail in them.
Thanks Davio! |

Wow. I didn't expect it to be in there at all.
Yeah, the spam box isn't highlited when you get new spam. But why would you want to know that you have new spam anyway? lol So i check mine every now and again, just on case.
Glad it helped. |

the same as it is sent from every other forum. you will probably find it is being flagged as spam because it has a link in it. |

the amount of emails actually getting through to my new members is getting seriously low just lately. I had concluded, as you have HuwR, that the link might be the cause. What might be the best (secure) way to prevent this? |

I can't seem to find it now, but I remember a mod that would just email the activation code to the new member with instructions to key the code on a specific page. |

BTW Huwr, I meant is CDONTS, CDOSYS, or other component being used?
Ok sorry , as Richard said we use ASPEmail the mail server also belongs to me so there is no problems with sending, if emails do not arrive the problem will be at the users mail server or local machine (unless the mail server has crapped out, but I would know if that happened) |

I just tested it and the X-SpamReason line is there, but no reason is listed. |
