Please wait, it will be worth it. I also have A MySQL database handy and will attempt the install there to check it although I've never done it before. Should be interesting.

Okay, will wait! =) You never installed a snitz forum on mysql or just this mod? Be sure you use the latest version of mysql because it seems the 3.x something can't handle the sql-strings in this mod. (a friend told me that was the problem, don't have my own server online for testing with version 4.x atm either)

I've never used mySQL. I've had it available but I have never seen a need to use it since I also had SQL 2000. I've already begun work on it. It will still take a little while but one step is completed.

Okay SQL and MySQL probably use the same syntax (sortof anyways). Keep up the good work and keep us posted on what's happening! =)

If you need someone to test it with MySQL, let me know.
I'd be glad to help with the testing also =)

I also get a series of errors (installed with Snitz ver 34.05). For example:
When adding a new subcategory:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'CInt' admin_chapter.asp, line 26
When trying add a new article:
INSERT INTO FORUM_QUESTION ( CHAPTER_FLDAUTO, QUESTION, AUTHOR, POST_DATE, HEADER_ID,ANSWER,ORDERINGFIELD, SHOW, ADDED_BY) VALUES ( 3, 'Title here', 'Author name', '20050416192347', 0, 'blah blah blah', 'ZZZZZZ', 0, ) Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14' Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement. admin_question.asp, line 123
Any help to fix these would be appreciated. Also waitng for the upgrate of this mod by @tomic. |
