Specifically, look for the Smile() function in that file; it starts on line 164 of a clean 3.4.04 copy. You can change the code members type to get the smilies to display by changing the second argument in each of the replace() functions.

thanks that all worked good, but how do I change the Smilies way of being displayed the way they are normally, where you click on a smiley to display it on the page for you to post the new topic, it still shows the old code, how do I change this also? (see screenshot)
