Lookin Good! I'm going to have to go over to SQL soon too...

BTW to fix the colorstripe.gif when logged in as admin.. Open
default.asp and on line 318 add the colorstripe.gif..

Response.Write " <td background=""colorstripe.gif"" bgcolor=""" & strCategoryCellColor & """ align=center valign=top nowrap><b><font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strDefaultFontSize & """>"

I just fixed it

No need to thank me... Thank HuwR, Richard, KyCable, and I can go on and on...

BTW.. My name is Rick

I did notice this.. everytime I go into a Topic... It logs me out.

Admin Page?

It's like a Live support mod... You can check it out at www.livehelper.com

I used it for people needing help with the forums.

I Think HuwR has posted a setup file for his Mod forum code to setup SQL.
He's been really busy so you might want to seach here for it or someone else may point
you in the right direction for it.
My forum is Running on HuwR's MOD Code. Alot of the extra mods and Colors
are done by Richard Kinser. My site has a ton of mods in it so you may need to remove
some of them because I use the site for testing MODS. and I just leave them in there
after I get them working.... So the Mods are building up.

Please Note: My Site runs on Access 2000 DB.

Thanks,
Rick

I have been trying to locate the information on using the modified code with SQL. Can anyone direct me to the information on how to use it with SQL?

Hi there,

I don't know if this is in the right place but here we go anyway..

I want to remove the "LiveHelp" from the forum... How do I do it? This is on the Access 2000 system

The other thing is that there must be some script that isn't right because it says done but with errors in the status bar.. Any ideas?

Cheers all..

Pete

It's VERY VERY COOL!!!

If you download my forum code, it comes with a mod_dbsetup.asp and a huwsmod.dbs file, these are used to upgrade the db, however one word of
advice which is what causes most people problems.

You MUST perform the dbupdates before you chnage any code in your forum files
otherwise you create dependancies on fields which do not yet exist, this is what causes the timeouts.

I am trying to use your forum code using SQL Server 7. I get timeout errors. So I tried the files you mentioned: mod_dbsetup.asp timed out and huwsmod.dbs was not included in the download. What is the exact order of actions for the upgrade. I've tried many different combinations.
