It seems too many connection attempts using this test account have been made. I'm getting a "too many connections" error. So, I'm about to delete the test account.

Too many connections attempts? What are you talking about? You hosting this with WindowsXP?

No, I'm not hosting this on Windows XP. This morning I was not able to connect to my database, and got the following error...

"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Too many connections
/forum/inc_header.asp, line 112\"

I contacted my website's host, who seems to have quickly corrected the problem. I don't believe it was atttributable to my account or The Snitz Forums. Their explanation suggested someone had misused MySQL.

Either way, I didn't know what was happening at the time, so I closed out the test account. I feel somewhat more comfortable with what is at least on my part the greater accountability associated with having visitors open their own accounts at AIS. I don't think its too much to ask.

You won't get any comments here if people have to register just to look at it. Many of us are not going to go there to stay, but you want comments on how it looks, so the appropriate thing to do is to provide the test account.

I understand your point of view. After all, the "Show-Off Your Forums" topic is not intended for the acuqisition of others' names, ids, emails, etc.. (Even the percetion of such is not necessarily well tolerated.)

The Snitz Forums were designed to build a so-called body of knowledge re the Snitz Forums Software.

With both our perspectives in mind, I think for now we can agree on letting the chips fall where they may.

Thanks for the input.

By the way, snowmobile fanatics is a very cool site - ha!
