I'm taking my wife and some friends to a hockey game and a concert tomorrow night. I'm the only one that knows about it. My wife and I are very familiar with the band and their music but my friends aren't. I was going to let them find out what was going on when we got to the destination but if we don't listen to the band's music on the way, they won't know any of their music.
I could try and put the music on the CD player on the way down and not make it too obvious but that might be difficult. What would you do? Tell them up front and listen to the music on the way down or keep it a surprise? |

Who's driving? If you, just put the CD in and listen to it. Keep it a surprise as long as possible. |

How can you keep it a surprise, now that you have broadcast to the entire Internet-reading world

Thanks for the input. I'll keep it a surprise as long as I can. The band is called Sanctus Real. They are a Christian rock band from northwest Ohio, where I'm from. http://www.sanctusreal.com/
I highly doubt my stay-at-home wife, my friend who works on a farm, and his wife who works in a law office that doesn't have the Internet will find out this information on a board like this unless they take up ASP programming and get interested in the development and usage of this message board within the next 18 hours.
I'll try to slip in the music without drawing any suspicions. Maybe I'll bring some crappy alternatives... "Would you like to listen to Barry Manilow, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Bjork, or Sanctus Real?" Come to think of it, I don't have any of the other artists so that won't do me any good. |

What? No love for Barry?!
I almost chose Tears for Fears instead of Frankie but I figured Frankie would be more widely known. |

Here's some love for Barry! Might be a bit cheesy, but I still like him.
I woulda piped up more for Tears for Fears though. I used to really like them! |

Too old for you? You're 14, right? Well, I listened to Bon Jovi when I was 14 and that was 16 years ago. As far as I can tell, Frankie Goes to Hollywood was still doing albums when Bon Jovi came on the scene... before you were born!! |

FGTH and Bon Jovi started roughly the same time I think, Jovi in around '83 and I think FGTH got their break in around '82 |
