Is it possible to have IIS installed in Window XP Home Edition or only Professional version?

No, IIS or PWS cannot be used with Windows XP Home Edition, you'll need XP Pro.

But, what do you think of this article (http://www.15seconds.com/issue/020118.htm)?

Not sure, you could give it a try, just remember: "Editor's note: this is not a supported or tested solution. Attempt at your own risk"

I did that back when I had XP Home, it actually works fine...I could never host anything to the Internet, but I could see pages at http://localhost .

IMHO you are violating your software license if you do this XP Home kludge. Plus, there is no telling what other effects you may run across. I've been helping a user in another forum who has a non-functional XP Home after doing this unsupported patch.

I'd never do this to any computer I like to use reliably. Get XP Pro.
