"First go to Admin Section -> Feature Configuration and turn "Allow Topic Moderation" ON. Now you'll have to edit each Forum where you want topics/posts to be approved and choose the desired option in "Moderation" (No Moderation, All Posts, Topics only, Replies only)."
ok. i have topic moderation on. but im not quite sure about how to do the second part. i dont see those options anywhere. i know im missing something...

You should have a moderation drop-down between the moderators list and the auth type drop-down. If you haven't, check again Admin Options -> Feature Configuration, to make sure it's set to On. |

No, edit the category properties for the category that contains the forum you want moderation. One of the properties is to allow moderation in that category. |

Change the Moderation dropdown so that it is allowing moderation in that Category.
Then, go into the Forum properties for the forum where you want this and you will see a new dropdown for moderation. Change it to Original posts only moderated.
Then, when people post a new topic, it will not appear and you can delete the post, informing the person that they are only allowed to reply to existing topics. |
