Hi, Im hoping that someone could spare the time to write an easy to follow 1-2-3 guide in how to set up a forum on my web page. My wife and i have a great idea for a public website (non-profit). I have some experience with building web sites/flash/macromedia etc, But cant get this going at all.
We have already bought thee domain name and have web hosting organised (not my home page thats listed... thats me messing about) Ive downloaded the package and being honest, this scares me looking at it all

to be honest the amount of files etc is jst a smoke screen - its pretty easy if you follow the instructions in the readme file. the only files you need to personally edit are config.asp (only a few lines) and the name of the provided database if youre using access. then upload them to /forum/ (except the database if ur using access to /cgi-bin/ or similar) ...take the provided readme step by step and you should be able to do it - trust me - i did it and im 14...
