I deleted that part with the rules from my DB, then uploaded the new files, ran the dbs and went to admin_rules.asp. I got this error:

Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0400'

Expected statement

/forum/admin_rules.asp, line 299

Case "edit"

That line looks the same as my old file, so the problem must be on some other line. Seems like this is working for others though? strange =)

The only thing I've done is uploading the file and then went to mysite/admin_rules.asp.

Try reuploading admin_rules.asp.

If that doesn't help, post a link to a txt version of your admin_rules.asp.

I don't know which version I used so I just deleted everything from the DB =)
I have tried and uploaded the files a few times but no luck. The file is straight from the zip, but here's a txt-link anyways.

It's a long shot, but have you tried re-uploading the files in ASCII mode via FTP? It sounds like the file could be currupt.

tribaliztic, I was unable to reproduce the error, the file you've posted works fine for me.
If you'd like me to take a look at your forum, email me the URL and make me an admin and I'll see what I can do.

Hmm... I have no idea.
Is that a serverhacker version your forum is based on? Or Crash's version?
Maybe this is causing the error, although I doubt it.

I'll get back to you as soon as I have an idea or a solution.

edit:
I forgot to add, if anyone else is experiencing the same problem, please let me know. Thanks.

It's serverhackers version I'm using.
I'll try and upload your file on my test-site too and see if it's any difference.

Okay.. now I'm REALLY confused... It's working on my test site. Does the script use some kind of plugin on the server or something? Or maybe the bad admin_rules.asp is cached somehow?

No.

*Could* be, although I doubt it.

I can offer the following: you could zip up your forum files (.asp & .js) files and send them to me, so I can take a look if anything (in the include files files maybe) could cause the error.
