I'd like to prevent posts from displaying on my forum until I have approved them. I've gone to Admin Options - Feature Configuration and clicked on the radio button to Allow Topic Moderation. However posts are still appearing to all forum members. Do I need to do something else...?

It is quite urgent that I can turn this feature on as I have already received a solicitors letter threatening to sue me for defamation, as the publisher, for an article someone posted a little while back.

I'm using the latest version of Snitz - 3.4.03

You will have to allow moderation in the category, and then choose the moderation mode by editing the forum.

My MODs:
Birthdays - Custom Policy - F.A.Q. Administration - Forum Rules - Guestbook
Links Manager - MyOwnGoogle - Profile Views - Search Log - WebSearch

Useful stuff:
Forum and MOD Installation - MOD Installation Guide - Snitz v3.4.05 Readme - Free ASP Hosts - Support Snitz

I'm having this same problem, but I'm not seeing where the option is to allow moderation in the category. (I'm using 3.4.04) Apologies if I'm just being dense.

Right - I had that from the start. And Non-Cookie Mode is off. But posts can still be read by all members without the moderator having a chance to screen them. What am I missing?

Now you have to edit each category (by clicking the Edit Category Name icon ) where you want to allow and choose Moderation Allowed in this Category from the [b]Moderation dropdown box.
Then you have to edit each forum and set the desired moderation mode.

I did ALL of the above, the message indeed appears that the post needs to be moderated when Im logged in under a newbie account, however it gets posted anyways, and there is a folder with a question mark on the left side signifying that post is not moderated..Im lost on this one. Any ideas?

Only the poster of the unmoderated post, plus the moderators and admins get to see the moderated post. All other users cannot see it, until the post gets approved by a moderator or an admin. So, it seems like everything is working as expected.

is there a way that the moderated postings that have not been approved can be highlighted to moderator when logged in.. rather than going thru all topics eg like active posts since last visit

1. Go to the active.asp page then click on the moderate icon on the right hand side ()
or
2. Bookmark the moderate.asp page to jump straight there.

I'm trying to shut this feature off. I can't find all the "not modersted" posts because my find all unmoderated post button does not work. When I click it I get this error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-3.23.58-nt]Column: 'TOPIC_ID' in field list is ambiguous
/forum/moderate.asp, line 145

Is there a way to manually shut this off in the DB?
Is there a way to find the unmoderated posts in the DB?
