Anyone have the home cure for the flu. I have been with it for 1.5 weeks now and have had my temp all the way up to 112F Anyway I am sick of having the flu, it's really irritating me and want to be well now. Anyone know some good home remedies for this stuff? I'd go to the doctor but waiting 6 hours, according to the doctor's clerk, in the waiting room, I prefer to stay home sick. Please help WWS |

sorry, all my 'home remedies' are designed to stop you getting ill in the first place, rather than cure you when youv'e got something.
best thing you can do is take plenty of vitamin C and sleep lots (whiskey comes in handy for that ) |

whisky eh! fortunately I work in a liquor store so I get all the free whisky I want, I have about a gallon of all sorts of whisky's in my home, I'll start drinking it up I also have an orange tree right outside in my backyard, I guess some OJ with the vitamin C in it could help. Thanks |

Stephen's patented cold & flu cure:
30ml Jameson Irish Whisky 3 Cardamon pods 5 Cloves 1 Tablespoon honey 1 Teaspoon brown sugar Juice of 1 lemon In a big glass and filled with boiling water.
Will do the trick. *****Disclaimer***** The author dislaims all responsibility and liability for any accidents or injuries that might occur from the digestion of the above recipe - 'Stephen's Cold & flu cure' especially if the person operates large earth-moving equipment, chainsaws, 747-400, oil tanker, Aegis Frigate, childrens indoor playground, ICBM silo or other potentially dangerous equipment within 4 hours of drinking this solution. My mom used to fix up a shot of whiskey, 2 shots of honey and some lemon juice. Mix em up and warm. I am not sure if it really did anything or if us kids getting to taste alcohol was the trick. Oh by the way, only take a teaspoon or two... |

Hey, weewee. Sorry to hear you've succumbed to the infamous 2003 flu.
Okay, here's my remedy, don't know whether it'll suit you, though:
- Lots of sleep.
- Sopranos First, Second, Third Season DVD's
- A good TV, DVD player, and universal remote control.
- Lots of water and ibuprofen.
- A few good goosedown pillows.
- And of course, a laptop with a Wi-Fi connection to connect to the 'net from your bed. I mean, really, you're not that sick, are you???
You'll be back in action before you know it!
BTW, where are you? I'm in San Francisco, California, and the flu hasn't really hit here yet. But I've been hearing reports of how hard it's hitting elsewhere. |

I am in Southern California (Lynwood, next to LA, Compton, Downey, South Gate etc etc etc) I went to the doc a few min ago and it was still full! I wont sit in a full room of sick people waiting to get in LOL I wish I had a laptop, it would make school for me much easier, but alas no money for it. No Sopranos either, got a DVD player though! |

ok I took whiskies, tequilas etc and also finally went to the doctor at 4 am, fortunately I went in at the right time cuz I was the only one there, 10 min later the room was filled. I got 2 shots and 2 medications and I am feeling a bit better. Though at times half my face feels like it is breaking apart. The whiskies and tequila take care of my cough pretty good for a few hours. Thanks! WWS |
