I'm not sure I understand what you need to do. I use fireworks to create any ani-gif that I need. It is very easy to create. If you send me the images I can build it for you. I have also used Quicktime to break apart mpegs to frames to build ani-gifs.
I know how to create gifs, that's easy. What I want to do is record animation from say another program and convert it to a gif. Here is an example. I am playing my winamp player, watching a visualization. I'd like to record portions of the visualization through some kind of screen capture and then convert that to an animated gif.
Where it will take a piture every X seconds and save the pic to your hard drive which you can then later on create the gif from? I think that would be a easier program to find.
Thanks, I will check that out right now. I have Camtasia which is a great product, but a little overkill for what I am trying to accomplish. I will let you know the results of Screen Recorder.
QuickTime from Apple will do screen captures as movies. You could then manually take the frames and make an animated gif or simply display as a quicktime movie.
