Is it possible to move replies from one topic to another? Is there a MOD that enables this option? |

As far as I know, there isn't a MOD for this purpose yet, but I'd really like to have a MOD which would do some stuff other forum softwares do:
Merge Topics Split Topics Move Reply
...and some other features.
Has anyone developed this for their personal use and would like to share it?
Thanks in advance.

This might not be exactly what you want, but there are two Mods that could be of use here. It took me half an hour of searching to find this, but I remembered the discussion. Now I'm going to be yawning all day tomorrow at work through lack of sleep

If anyone has used these two together I would like to know how good they are. |

This is not what I want. I want an option to move replies from a topic to an existing topic... It is very important for me. Anyone? |

The problem would be that AFAIK the replies are ordered by date, so if you change the id to move the reply from one topic to another, you may get a situation where the topic is disjointed, with the new reply inserted in the middle. What would you propose to do about that? Alter the post time so the admin can choose where it goes? Hmm.. just wondering |

Possible.... but It this is a secondary problem... The main purpose is to move replies that should be in another topic to the right place, and I have a very active forum so I am there almost all the time and the topic being disjointed bothers me little....
By the way, I tried Mr Pink's link, but the Mods here are for the previous version of the forum. Do you have those mods for the new version of the forum? (3.4) |

I'd certainly like to see the first two. They've been in vB for more than a year (I assume since 2.0), it's really strange that they're not in snitz. Anyone who does a mod for this would have my greatest thanks ;) |
