Current System Info:

Win 2K Advanced Server/IIS 5.0 w/FP2K SE
Snitz Forums 2000 3.1 SR4
MS SQL 7.0 SP2

First, my problem:

In ISM, when I change the authentication type from Integrated Windows Authentication to Basic Authentication, I can no longer access my forum, instead I receive a 500 Internal Server error. I would like to use Basic Authentication so that I can configure which domain the user will authenticate to. What am I doing wrong?

Now, my question:

Is there some way in ASP to automatically create local NT user accounts during registration and add them to a local NT group (ie, forum.yourcompany.com Browsers)?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

P.S. Snitz is by far the best forum I have found. It simply rocks!

The problem with the 500 Internal Server error has been fixed. I wasn't installing the SQL DB correctly.

If anyone finds an example of creating an NT account via ASP or WSH, please let me know. I'm looking into possibly creating a SQL trigger that will run a script to create the user account when a new record gets added to the FORUM_MEMBERS table.

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
