XP Professional edition can run IIS (Internet Information Server) which can be installed from the Windows XP Pro Ed setup cd. This allows you to put files in the inetpub/wwwroot folder and run ASP if this is what you want. XP Home edition includes no such facility. URLs:

http://www.somacon.com/iis_ssl/page2.php
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/proddocs/iiiisin2.asp

IIS allows you to run ASP code which I think is what you want..

put your ASP files in the wwwroot directory (usually located at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\) and then access them by going to http://localhost/filename.asp in your browser, where filename.asp is the name (possibly including directory) of the file you want to see.

Possibly a silly question, but is there any other server software that can be used on XP Home? I don't need much, just something that will allow me to test my ASP pages on my laptop (even something that limits to 1 user is fine).

Make sure you set the line with Session.LCID in config.asp tp the LCID value suitable for Hebrew. Probably that alone will fix it.

So, using 1037 as LCID does not solve the problem? What database are you using?

Also, did you convert your database when you downloaded it to your computer?
