Is there a lot of difference between Dreamweaver 3, and Dreamweaver MX? I am asking because I have a Dreamweaver 3 manual. shouldn't be so diferent that I can't get the basics from this book right?

Life is a waste of time. Time is a waste of life. So get wasted all of the time and have the time of your life.

I suspect the basics will still be there. I also suspect it depends more on what type of server you plan to set it up on. If you are looking at cold fusion, I was trying to use UltraDev 4.0 while using a ColdFusion 4.0 server. It sounded like they should be compatible, but UltraDev 4 had tags in it that needed CF5.0 to run. As luck would have it we bought another server and put CF5.0 on it. I believe DW MX needs CF MX to utilize all of its code, again assuming you plan to use cold fusion.

I'll be happy to e-mail you the help section from my UltraDev 4.0. It has both regular Dreamweaver and UltraDev help. Keep in mind, it's a big file, about 6.5 MB. If you are on dial-up your e-mail my not like trying to open it. Let me know.

Great! That book makes it pretty much painless to get started. It's very, very basic, but should still get you up and running.

Hope you enjoy it!
