i know why this is...its because i had to delete a few bogus accounts from my forums. so i thought id be smart and just move the member numbers in the database so that i wasnt missing say 28 and 29 but that messed up their posts....
i was trying to fix it from saying i have 31 members and then the 31st member has member #33 by their name in the forums..
if you made a backup before you made your changes to the database, put that back and use the forums' member deletion function to get rid of those members.
I don't have much time to help find a solution, but I'm sure someone else will think of something.
I have a problem that I think is similiar to this. I use the member # MOD (btw great mod!) but since I have deleted some accounts the actual member number a member gets is a higher number than the number of members we have. How can I fix this?
OK, I sonehow misunderstood this... I thought your members get a higher number displayed by the MOD than their actual member ID is. Now to the real problem (member number higher than the actual member count): To be honest, I don't see this as a bug. And I also don't have the time at the moment to modify the code so it would display the member's "real" number out of the not-deleted members. I will probably provide the modifications, but not anytime soon. (If someone else wants to do this, feel free to do so)
