I did some searches..but I have so many that I thought I'd better let you see them all incase there is a pattern.
When I try to delete a topic or a member..ect I get this error:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'chkString' /snitz/pop_delete.asp, line 68"
Clicked on edit forum then looked at moderators then I clicked on (?)
a help index came up there I seen a few things in the list..but at the bottom of the index this error was there?:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' Object required: '' /snitz/inc_footer_short.asp, line 48"
This error is after I went to type a reply to a topic then clicked Preview:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' Object required: 'my_Conn' /snitz/inc_func_member.asp, line 148"
This error came up when I tried to click on view user's IP adress:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d' Type mismatch: 'chkForumModerator' /snitz/pop_viewip.asp, line 71
I try to click on a user's messenger icon I get this error:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' Object required: '' /snitz/pop_messengers.asp, line 136
Same with ICQ:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' Object required: '' /snitz/pop_messengers.asp, line 88
I stoped looking for errors..I thought I'd fix these frist..lol

I did just find this tho, can this be the root of it all or part?...
In the admin options/administrative functions/forum feature configuration/category/forum order configuration: I got this error:
Category/Forum Order Configuration ADODB.Recordset error '800a0bb9' Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another. /snitz/admin_config_order.asp, line 109
as I said before ruirib I'm a total noob..dont know a thing!

What is your database and connection string setting in config.asp? If you're using Access perhaps your host upgraded a server and you no longer have the older Access database driver code available.

also could you tell me where to get this new file:
inc_header_short.asp and how I replace the old with the new..is there a step by step?
I had a buddy who set my site up as well as the snitz 2000 3.4.xx and knows all about this..but hes gone for 8 months over seas. |
