Is there a way to create more member levels? Here is what I am looking for: mlev = 1 This person can read and post only. The post new topic or reply would not have the GUI buttons (text formatting). Just a text box and submit. This person also doesn't have access to searching the DB. (also limited to no upload and no PM's)
mlev = 2 This person can read and post with all of the above (but not upload features).
mlev = 3 This person can upload, PM, has GUI, everything.
mlev = 4 Moderator with all of the above
mlev = 5 Administrator
I know it can be done and I have searched to see if there was a MOD that was already created, but I think this is too custom. If it can be done, who could do it? I know a little bit about the forum but not near as much as I should.
I am currently running 3.4.02 with SQL 7 on NT4 server.
Any ideas?
I have another idea which might be easier. Having a list of check boxes in the admins area to set rights privilages for each user or even groups. You can select what they do and don't have access to. It is along the lines as above. You can specify what people have access too.
