Hi,
If you need to alert your logged on members of any news, this MOD does it for you! It opens up an javascript alert message and displays the message. Has an admin section to add, edit and delete alerts.
No Demo available! It would make my users nuts!
Initial Release: 10. June, 2003
Alert Messenger 1.0
For Snitz 3.4.02+
Database: Access
Follow the readme instructions.
Easy to install!
If you have any questions please post here!

An Update
If you have installed the script and have not yet deleted an entry then you will not have seen the sql error.
Please open the file admin_alert.asp and goto line 130 which should be
DelSql = DelSql & "WHERE (((AM_ID)=" & Request.QueryString("ID") & "))"
And exchange it with
DelSql = DelSql & " WHERE (((AM_ID)=" & Request.QueryString("ID") & "))"
I forgot to add the space before the Where clause.

Comics, It will show the message as many times you set it. Normally once or twice should be enough and to see the alert message you need to be logged in. Bob |

I get this error in the admin_alert.asp:
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0411'
Name redefined
/admin_alert.asp, line 35
Dim StrSql, FormMT, FormConfig, FormC ----^
What should I do, rgrund? Or anyone else for that matter.

I tried this mod but when both dates were set to the same date, nothing happened. When I changed the dates to today and tomorrow and the frequency to 1, I got an alert everytime I viewed a page which was very annoying. Now it doesn't seem to be working again. |
