Well.... I thought id throw this out ther for the people having problems with IPGate as I did. It doesn't have any nice admin interface, because I'm to lazy to create it.... so if someone would like to develop it and help the community, please do so.
It's a basic Ip banning utitlity, but it's worked very successulfy with the trolls that have come to start trouble on our fourm. If you want something with a little more features, look into IPGate.
Supports the following Banning methods:
1. Ban by IP
2. Ban by IP Range
3. Ban by Cookie(for dialup & proxy users)
Ease of Install: #2 (#1=Easy - #10=Hard)
Install Time: Aproximatly 3-5 Minuets
Downlaod: IPBlock V1.0
BannedFiles:Banned Files
BannedFiles Demo:demo -> (WARNING.. please read posts below on this before you click)

dude, this works awesome!!! Never before has banning people worked so well. When the banned person gets redirected to that site, after it locks their computer by opening up tons of IE windows and opening their cd rom drive, they don't dare try to come back to the forum! Very effictive! |

I am really looking for this mod; IPgate is too risky to implement for me but i need a solution for some misbehaving visitors!
Perhaps send it via mail? I am willing to place it for downloads on my server. |
