I'd like to be able to manage subscriptions so that I can both remove subscriptions associated wih my users, as well as ADD/ASSOCIATE subscriptions to users.
As my mail system works fine (really..!), I need to use this forum and subscriptions as my primary comms tool, so I need to force subscriptions down peoples throats (unfortunately).
Thakns for the help |

As far as I know there isnt a mod that will do this, however this thread should probably get moved there in hopes that someone would build such a thing.

I think technically speaking if you force subscriptions on people you are guilty of spamming |

Just because it is a company site doesn't make it not spam As long as you make it plain that that is what you are going to be doing and give them an opt out, then it is ok, but you MUST give them an opt out |

I would like to see this feature so I could force my moderators to do their jobs, One of our moderators tends to visit and not read/moderate new threads. This would be an easy way to harass him.
And since we are talking about the ability for the admin to subscribe someone to something the user could easily remove the subscriptions by visiting subscriptions_list.asp so it has the ability to "opt out" built in

that would be great if a mod could be made. i have a company site, and unfortunately due to user inability to register and subsribe themselves (they just can't seem to figure it out) i must register them and subscribe them. that works great in the beginning, but when a new category/forum/topic is created i would have to logon as each user to get them subscribed. |
